Shirani, from Sri Lanka, just visited me. She is the dietician here
and says the Speech Therapist can change my diet to unground food,

Earlier, someone whose this name I did not get, told me I would be getting
new shoes this week. We settled on size 9.5 after a brief discussion and her
looking inside the shoe for size information.

At this very moment, Meghan is talking with Arthur about his memory problems.
She has told me she's seen Jonah working with me. She just left, telling Arthur
she would return shortly.

Carlos came by to fix my door, again.  His solution reminded me of the expanding universe.

the past

“The past always looks better than it was. It's only pleasant because it isn't here.”
-- Finley Peter Dunne, writer

A fantastically excellent week in Physical Therapy.  My left leg has come back to life.  I can
feel deep muscles, pain, then   I stress of overdoing things. Spasms that tell me there is contact between brain and muscle.  Mary who started me on the bike routine agrees.  I can feel small, sharp pains in my left thigh.  But they rise and die out quickly.  The pain and sensation are not unlike the result of running a marathon.  Again, Mary says, all good signs.

Some data from the bike machine today:

     Activity left 99%
                  right  1%
     Distance: 3.5 km
     Spasms: 1
     Calories: 3.0
     Time: 15 minutes

A week of regular and comfortable BMs.

I have been gorging on dinosaur videos the last week. No sign of running out.

SILENCE WEDNESDAY, MAY 2, 2018

"Everything that's created comes out of silence. Your thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence. Your words come out of this void. Your very essence emerged from emptiness. All creativity requires some stillness."

mistakes April 29, 2018

The new basic principle is that in order to learn to avoid making mistakes, we must learn from our mistakes. To cover up mistakes is, therefore, the greatest intellectual sin." — Karl Popper

possessiveness: Reflection for the day, from The Boston Globe, November 17, 2001 by Peter Ustinov

I am not and never have been possessive.  I consider possessiveness to be the most dangerous and underrated of all human vices.
